Downloading and Sharing Results
How to download individual pages or ZIP archives of your translated content, and how long files are retained per plan.
Downloading Individual Pages
After a translation job completes, each page appears as a preview in your dashboard. To download a single page:
- Click on any translated page thumbnail to open the full preview
- Click the Download button to save it to your device
Individual pages download in the same format as your output settings — typically high-quality PNG for maximum fidelity.
Downloading All Pages as ZIP
For full books or large batches, downloading one page at a time isn’t practical. Use the ZIP download instead:
- Go to your completed translation job in /dashboard/translate
- Click Download ZIP
- All translated pages are packaged into a single archive
Pages inside the ZIP are named sequentially to preserve reading order. The ZIP filename includes your project name and target language for easy identification.
Real-Time Downloads
Translayer streams translation results page by page. You don’t have to wait for the entire job to finish — you can download completed pages while the rest are still processing. This is especially useful for large batches where you want to start reviewing early.
File Retention Windows
Your translated files are stored temporarily and automatically deleted after your plan’s retention window:
| Plan | Retention Period |
|---|---|
| Free | 24 hours |
| Starter | 7 days |
| Standard | 14 days |
| Pro | 30 days |
Important: Once the retention period expires, files are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. Download your results promptly.
Tips for Managing Your Downloads
- Download immediately. Don’t rely on the retention window — save files to your local storage or cloud as soon as they’re ready.
- Organize by project. Create a folder structure like
BookTitle/TargetLanguage/to keep multi-language projects tidy. - Check before deleting. Review your translated pages for quality before deleting the source images. If you need to re-translate a page with different settings, you’ll need the originals.
Sharing Results
Translayer doesn’t currently offer direct sharing links. To share translated pages with collaborators:
- Download the ZIP or individual pages
- Share via your preferred method — email, cloud storage (Google Drive, Dropbox), or file transfer
For teams working on ongoing translation projects, the Pro plan’s 30-day retention window gives everyone time to access and review results without rushing.
Re-Translating Pages
If you’re not satisfied with a particular page’s translation, you can re-translate it:
- Upload the original source image again
- Adjust your settings (try a different mode, resolution, or custom prompt)
- Run the translation — new credits will be deducted
This is common when fine-tuning custom prompts or testing different resolution options for optimal output.
